Janet Evelyn Scebold of Highland, a nurse who spent most of her career working in the Loma Linda University Medical Center’s neonatal intensive-care unit died Monday, April 13, after a brief illness. She was 82.
She had an extensive collection of dolls and dollhouses spanning throughout her life and was an avid gardener. She and her husband, Ben Lynch, also loved to travel, visiting family and exploring new places.
She is survived by her husband; son Brian Scebold and his wife Kimberly; son-in-law Joe Thompson; stepchildren Tom Lynch, Kathy Peters, Donna Klein and David Lynch; grandchildren Ian Thompson, Liahnnie Thompson, Emma Scebold, Tommy Lynch, Matt Doud, Chris Doud, Jennifer Mizanskey, Heidi Lynch, Matt Lynch, Keri Cooper, Kevin Lynch and Mike Lynch; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Bren Thompson and stepson Dan Lynch. Funeral arrangements are being made by Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.
