Super bloom returns to Crafton Hills

The hillsides around Crafton Hills College have experienced an explosion of color provided African daisies, just like the spring of 2019. As pretty as they may be, the daisies are, they are invasive and take over the habitat of other native species, such as California poppy and purple Phacelia. East Highlands Ranch weatherman Jeff Skaggs reports 7.71 inches of rain has fallen in the area since the season began on July 1. The National Weather Service reports that .11 inches fell on Plunge Creek in the latest storm as of 9 a.m. Friday.
