Redlands Bowl conductor Frank Paul Fetta will join cellist Ruslan Biryukov for “The Cool Classics for Cello and Piano” program presented Friday, July 31.

Friday: The 97th season of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival continues at 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, the Redlands Bowl Performing Arts presentation of “The Cool Classics for Cello and Bass,” featuring acclaimed cellist Ruslan Biryukov and Redlands Bowl conductor Frank Paul Fetta. Sponsored by Glenn Vernet, “The Cool Classics for Cello and Bass” is a stellar program that promises great moments with famous melodies by Rossini, Gershwin, Rachmaninoff, Andrew Lloyd Webber and more.

Children’s workshop: Biryukov and Fetta will also lead the next Children’s Summer Music Festival Workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Aimed at young people ages 4 through 12, these continuing Redlands Bowl Performing Arts Children’s Workshops are presented at 10 a.m. Saturdays on the Redlands Bowl YouTube Channel and Facebook page. Upcoming workshops will feature sing-alongs, dance, acting basics and popular music.

Tuesday: At 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, Redlands Bowl Performing Arts will present “Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute.” Sail On faithfully recreates the Beach Boys’ timeless songs of surfing, dancing and dreaming. Among the popular hits performed by Sail On are: “Surfin’ Safari,” “Catch a Wave,” “Surfer Girl,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations,” “Surfin’ USA” and many more.

Next Friday: At 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, Redlands Bowl Performing Arts welcomes the return of “Navy Band Southwest.” Sponsored by David and Robin Maupin, this memorable program will feature an evening of patriotic favorites, pop music, and the swinging sounds of Big Band.

Online: The Friday and Tuesday performances can be viewed live at 8:00 p.m. on the Redlands Bowl YouTube Channel (YouTube.com/c/redlandsbowl) and Facebook Page (facebook.com/redlandsbowl).

Television: Friday programs will be rebroadcast Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. on Spectrum’s Channel 3 and Frontier’s Channel 35. Tuesday programs will be rebroadcast Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. on the same channels.
