New column for the Base Line bridge.

Crews perform a concrete pour for the new bridge column at Base Line in Highland.

Work continues this week on the addition of two lanes to State Route 210 and the expansion of the Base Line bridge.

Nighttime lane closures along eastbound and westbound SR 210 between Del Rosa Avenue and Interstate 10, may be taken intermittently, according to a press release from the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority. Freeway on- and off-ramps may also be closed intermittently. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time.

Crews are taking advantage of reduced traffic volumes and maximizing project efficiency by beginning some closures earlier in the evening and reopening later in the morning.

During bridge demolition, city streets may be closed to traffic overnight, underneath SR 210. Detour signs will be posted in advance to direct motorists around the work areas.
