Redlands and San Bernardino Police arrested three suspects Wednesday, June 5, in connection with recent armed robberies at a Redlands hotel and a San Bernardino motel.

At about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, two suspects entered the lobby of the Ayres Hotel, 1015 W. Colton Ave., armed with a handgun and an AR-15 rifle and demanded money from employees. The suspects jumped the counter and chased one employee into the hotel office. The suspects took cash from the register and a diamond ring valued at $9,000 and additional cash from the safe. The suspects also took a backpack from one of the employees that contained a laptop and cell phone.

On Monday, June 3, a similar robbery was reported at a Motel 6 at 1960 Ostrems Way in San Bernardino. The description of the suspects and the weapons matched those in the Redlands robbery.

Investigators developed information that the suspects lived in the 400 block of South Eureka Avenue in the City of San Bernardino. On Wednesday, San Bernardino Police served a search warrant at a home where the suspect vehicle, a 2014 Dodge Charger, was located. Three handguns, an AR-15, about $2,000 in cash, the stolen laptop and clothing worn during the robbery were located.

Yvonne Debrashawn Houston, 28, of San Bernardino was identified as a scout and getaway driver for the robbery and was arrested. Two juvenile brothers, ages 16 and 17, were arrested as the primary suspects and were booked at Juvenile Hall.
