State and county officials have cracked down on  unlicensed street vendors along Adams Street in Muscoy and Wagon Train Road in Phelan.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County sheriff’s Central Station, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), County of San Bernardino Code Enforcement, Environmental Health Inspectors and the California Highway Patrol teamed up on

Friday, Oct. 8.

ABC issued three citations to street vendors for selling alcoholic beverages without a license. Code Enforcement issued one misdemeanor citation to a homeowner on the 2000 block of Adams Street and two separate administrative citations for violations of the  county code.

Deputies provided a safe field environment for non-law enforcement personnel and CHP Officers secured the roadway throughout the late afternoon and evening hours.

The safety and welfare of the public continues to be a priority.

“Proactive enforcement remains necessary to help restore quality of life issues for residents in the Muscoy and Phelan communities,” said a press release. “Central Station personnel remain highly committed and will continue to work in partnership with the community.”
