A San Bernardino City Unified School District assistant superintendent has been arrested on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography, according the Sheriff’s Department.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Division investigated Perry Wiseman for possession and distribution of child pornography, said a press release. Wiseman, a 42-year-old resident of Highland, is an assistant superintendent with non-instructional administrative duties, with limited student interactions. The images investigated appear to have been sourced from the internet and do not appear to be students of the district.

Wiseman was arrested on Friday and booked at Central Detention Center for possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. He is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, Aug. 20. His bail is set at $100,000.
