One suspect arrested, one outstanding for the theft of landscape equipment

Two Los Angeles County men have been accused of grand theft for stealing $2,000 worth of landscaping equipment from a vehicle owned by San Manuel Landscape in August in Highland.

The theft occurred on Aug. 30 in the 6000 block of Victoria Avenue, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department press release.

An investigation conducted by the Central Station detective bureau identified Antonio Lizarraga, a 25-year-old San Gabriel man, and Gilberto Jaramillo, a 45-year-old Pasadena resident, as suspects. Lizarraga was on parole at the time of the theft and, with the assistance of the El Monte parole office, Lizarraga was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center. He is being held on $100,000 bail and a no-bail parole violation. Jaramillo has not been located. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
