One person was arrested for driving under the influence and numerous drivers were cited for other violations during weekend DUI enforcement operations.
A total of 330 vehicles passed through a Redlands Police DUI Checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, and 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Tennessee Street and Park Avenue. Eleven people passing through the checkpoint were cited for driving without a valid license. Another driver was cited for an expired registration.
During a saturation patrol Sunday, Feb. 7, one driver was arrested for DUI. Six other drivers were cited for various vehicle code violations. Drivers charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.
