A 38-year-old Redlands man was killed when his motorcycle struck another vehicle in the 400 block of Judson Street Saturday evening. A 27-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter in connection with the collision.

The motorcycle was traveling north on Judson Street south of Laramie Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, when the driver of a 2012 Nissan Altima pulled away from the curb and made a U-turn in front of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist went down and was trapped under the vehicle.

Redlands firefighter/paramedics responded and treated the victim at the scene. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested the driver of the Nissan, Andrew Justin Vasquez, for driving under the influence of drugs and vehicular manslaughter. Vasquez is being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in lieu of $250,000 bail.
