Sheriff’s homicide detectives have identified a 21-year-old Mentone man as the suspect in the murder of a 26-year-old Mentone man on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

At 11:13 p.m. Wednesday Yucaipa deputies responded to reports of a man down in the intersection of Capri and Malachite avenues.

“Deputies arrived and found a resident performing CPR on the victim,” said a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department press release. “Medical aid transported the victim to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 11:59 p.m.”

On Friday, Aug. 7, detectives identified William Guy as a possible suspect in the murder of Dylan Moi. Detectives stopped and detained Guy as he left his residence. Following the investigation and interview, detectives determined Guy and Moi were involved in an argument and Guy shot Moi.

Guy was booked at Central Detention Center for murder.
