A 25-year-old Highland man has been jailed on suspicion of injuring a 6-month-old girl, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
On Monday, April 26, investigators from the Crimes Against Children Detail found the injuries to the girl, who was admitted to Loma Linda University Medical Center with severe injuries, were caused by non-accidental trauma, consistent with child abuse.
“At the conclusion of the investigation, Evan Donte Bruce was arrested,” said a press release. “Detectives determined Bruce caused the injuries to the victim.”
Bruce was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for violation of PC 273a(a), willful cruelty to a child. Bail was set at $100,000.
