Beaumont Fire

An air tanker drops retardant on a fire at 9 a.m. Monday in the hills south San Timoteo Canyon Road west of Fern Street. The fire was south of the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. A train could be heard rolling past the fire, but it was blocked by orange trees.  

Named the Beaumont Fire, it began at 8:08 a.m. Monday at 26967 Beaumont Ave.  Redlands, CalFire and the Loma Linda fire departments were battling the blaze. As of 9 a.m. it had burned a half and acre. No injuries or evacuations were reported.
