Deputies arrested a convicted a felon he reportedly pointed handgun at his girlfriend Tuesday night in Loma Linda, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reports.
At 7:35 p.m. July 6, deputies responded to a report of an assault with a firearm at Oasis Townhomes, at 25590 Prospect Ave. The victim reported she was involved in an altercation with her boyfriend, identified as Charles Lamar Pam, 41. He armed himself with a handgun and pointed it at her. In fear for her life, she fled the location in her vehicle.
“Through further investigation, it was revealed Pam was a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm,” said a press release. “Subsequently, an arrest warrant and search warrant were authored and approved.”
With assistance from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Division, the search warrant was served at Pam’s residence. During the search warrant, an untraceable “ghost gun” — lacking a registration number — was recovered.
After a search warrant was served, Pam was arrested for assault with a firearm and taken to Central Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
