The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the Inland Empire reached six on Sunday, March 22, departments of public health announced.

All deaths have been reported in Riverside County, where the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 45 on the day of the announcement.

On Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, the Riverside Department of Public Health held a drive-thru coronavirus test in the city of Lake Elsinore.

About 400 people were tested on the two-day event designed to stop the spread of the virus and to understand how serious the problem is in the area.
