San Bernardino County Sheriff deputies in Loma Linda arrested a documented criminal street gang member on Monday, Oct. 28.
According to authorities, Raymond Garcia, 25, of Los Angeles, was arrested and charged for allegedly carrying a loaded firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance.
The arrest was made around 1:05 p.m. near Poplar Street and Redlands Boulevard, in Loma Linda, after a routine traffic stop, authorities said.
The firearm was located within Garcia’s reach. The firearm had been altered and the serial number removed, authorities said.
Garcia was later identified as a documented criminal street gang member out of the Los Angeles area. He was booked into the Central Detention Center, authorities said.
