For nearly two decades, Plymouth Village Retirement Community in Redlands has been on the leading edge in fighting the battle and coming alongside families dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Once again, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in front of the Grove Memory Care home on the campus of Plymouth Village, family members, friends and residents will kick off their annual “Memory Walk.”

This will be a special and important occasion this year, because many will be on hand to pay tribute to and honor the memory of Barbara Wormser, longtime community builder, City Council member and mayor of Redlands, suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease and lived out her final years at Plymouth Village.

The kick off ceremony will begin at 9 a.m., led by Chaplain Mike Ballinger and will feature words from Mayor Paul Foster, a longtime friend of Wormser.

There will be a brief walk around the campus and then a brief celebration and reception, taking place next to the Grove Memory Care Home on Campus.

Plymouth Village Retirement Community is located near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Cajon Street.
