Jack Edward Riddle, a U.S. Air Force veteran who worked for GTE, died on Oct. 25, 2020. He was 77.
Born on Oct. 2, 1943, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Charles and Virginia Lauritsen Riddle, the family moved to California when Jack was an infant, first to Pasadena and then to Redlands in 1951.
He graduated from Redlands High School in 1961. After four years in the Air Force, he returned to Redlands where he was employed by GTE as a technician. He later established a telecommunications brokerage business.
Jack and Dale Foy were married in Redlands in 1967 and had two children, Shawna Marie and Jeffrey Alan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dale, and his son Jeffrey Riddle.
He is survived by his siblings Sue Riddle Nelson of Chaska, Minnesota, and Neil Riddle of Mission Lakes, California; daughter Shawna R. Hardman; grandchildren Mary Tackman, Thomas Hardman, Anthony Hardman and Uriah Hardman of Bristol, Indiana; daughter-in-law Danielle Riddle Hadley; and granddaughters Taylor Riddle and Morgan Riddle of Yucaipa.
