Sunflare on the Old Greenspot Bridge

This is the only time of the year when the sunset is positioned to capture this view of the Old Greenspot Bridge over the Santa Ana River off Greenspot Road in Highland. The bridge is one of three spans of a bridge built in 1912 crossing the Mojave River in Victorville. One span was relocated to Highland in 1933 where it served auto traffic for decades. In 2015, Greenspot Road was realigned for a safer curve and new bridge. The historic bridge was rehabilitated and refurbished as part of a trail for hikers and bikers.
