Saturday, Nov. 30, is the 10th annual Shop Small Saturday. Dedicated to supporting the diverse range of local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and enhance neighborhoods around the country, Shop Small Saturday was created by American Express in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: getting more customers.
This year, the Redlands Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the city of Redlands to host a welcome station from noon to 3 p.m. in Ed Hales Park in downtown Redlands. Come out and enjoy yourselves while doing some shopping.
It’s important for us to remember that small businesses contribute to local economies by bringing growth and innovation to the community in which business is established. Help keep Redlands special by supporting our local businesses year-round.
Why shop local Shopping locally in our own community provides many positive impacts:
• More of your money will be kept in the local economy. • You embrace what makes Redlands unique.
• You create local jobs.
• You help the environment.
• You nurture our community.
• You conserve your tax dollars.
