Local women will gather for the 2020 edition of the Redlands Symphony Purse Party at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Redlands Contemporary Club.
Proceeds from the event go to support the symphony’s annual concert programs and music education opportunities for kids.
Shopping begins during a silent auction featuring new and gently used purses, donated for the event. Partygoers will enjoy hors d’hoeuvres, wine, champagne and light beverages while they shop. The live auction begins at 6:30 PM, featuring handbags from some of the world’s great designers.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online at redlandssymphony.com/purse or by calling the symphony office at (909) 587-5565. The Contemporary Club is at 173 S. Eureka, in Redlands.
“The Purse Party has become a Redlands tradition,” said Chairwoman Kay Kallender. “It combines a fun time, good food and wine with shopping and an opportunity to do something wonderful for our community and our young people. It doesn’t get much better than that!
“Purses from some of the world’s top designers are already arriving for the party,” she said. “We’ll have something for everyone by the time the party rolls around. It’s hard to let a beautiful bag at a great price go by. Believe me, I know.”
