Debby Boone, who earned instant fame with “You Light Up My Life,” will kick off the 97th season of the Redlands Summer Music Festival on Friday, June 19.

Boone also topped country music charts with the 1980 No. 1 country hit “Are You on the Road to Lovin’ Me Again.” She received the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1978, and has since received an additional seven Grammy nominations, winning two more.

In 2011 she released “Reflections of Rosemary” an intimate musical portrait of her mother in law, the late legendary singer Rosemary Clooney. She has recorded 13 albums, the most recent being “Swing This.” She currently travels widely celebrating the Great American Songbook. The bowl shows are free and are normally presented on Tuesdays and Fridays.
