Redlands invites individuals to apply for positions on the Airport Advisory Board and the Citrus Preservation Commission. The city also has extended the deadline to apply for a position on a Utilities Advisory Committee for a water and wastewater rate study to April 30.
The Airport Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the administration, operation, development, improvement and maintenance of the Redlands Municipal Airport. The Airport Advisory Board meets at 6 p.m.on the first Wednesday of each month.
Redlands residents are encouraged to apply. The Citrus Preservation Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the acquisition, improvement, preservation and retention of citrus properties within the city.
The Citrus Preservation Commission meets at 4 p.m. every month on the second Tuesday in the Municipal Utilities Department, 35 Cajon St., Suite 15A. Residents of Redlands and surrounding communities are encouraged to apply. Deadline for filing applications for a position on the Airport Advisory Board or the Citrus Preservation Commission is April 22.

The purpose of the new Utilities Advisory committee is to review and recommend water and wastewater rates to the City Council. The committee includes Redlands water or wastewater customers. Committee members each serve a two-year term. Elected officials and city employees may not apply.
The study will take approximately six months and committee members will be expected to attend four to six meetings. The committee will meet tentatively from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
